Stop being lazy and full of bullshit excuses for everything you do.
Stop feeling sorry for yourself about the results you don't get from the work you don't do.
Stop expecting people to be exactly what you want them to be,
stop expecting situations to turn out how you want them to,
and stop getting so goddamn upset about everything that doesn't go your way. It's pitiful as fuck.
Life is not a fucking fairytale.
Things aren't going to be the way you want them to be.
People aren't going to be exactly who you want them to be.
Stop lying to yourself.
It's all in your head.
IT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD.
You become what you make yourself become.
Life is life is life is life.
Deal with it or shut the fuck up and quit bothering other people with your pathetic bullshit.
What is it about coffee shops that motivates me to write and draw?
Maybe I shouldn't question it.
I think it's all about the environment. Different environments inspire different people.
The vibe I get from coffee shops are so comfortable and poetic. And that is the environment I am the most inspired by.
That along with parks, the beach, and basically anywhere between the hours of 12am-3am.
The peace and quiet makes it so much easier to listen to my own voice.
This makes me wonder what different kinds of environments inspire different types of people. And what determines whether we're inspired or not?
Seriously though, where ever it is for you, go find it. It's such a motivating feeling and it helps me push myself so much further. Search for it. Don't stop until you find it. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor.
Go get inspired to change the world with all you have to offer it. Stop making excuses. It's not that hard.
All the people I see on the internet who say how depressed they are and how much they hate themselves always talk about how perfect all of these television stars and models are.
But am I the only one who's noticed that the only difference between these people and these celebrities is that the celebrities are being positive?
You see them with smiles on their faces, laughing, being confident and sticking with their beliefs and standing up for things they think are important.
But we worship them like they're some kind of higher form of human being when really, they're us, except for instead of feeling sorry for themselves and wanting to be someone else, they go out and be that person.
Your thoughts about how you're so ugly and stupid and hopelessly shy is all in your head. Get it out of your head and actually make an EFFORT to be these things you envy others for being.
If you don't go after these things no matter how hard it is, no matter how many times you fail, no matter how many weeks or months or years it takes, then I don't feel bad for you for not having them.
I don't feel sorry for you if you don't put in a no-excuses effort to achieve what you want to be in life.
The things you say and write without the intention of showing someone else are your real thoughts.
If you're saying something to someone else, you're going to alter it in some way: change the words you use, change the tone, take out or add something; you're going to filter it in one way or another.
We're bullshitting people when we do this.
Our brains have been programmed to filter our words like that.
There are a few exceptions, and those are the people that we often label as "assholes" for being upfront and honest.
But really, we're the assholes for being fake and judging other people for actually being real.
We do it out of jealousy. We wish we were bold enough to say what we feel without the fear of being judged.
Today I bought a scented candle and that makes me sincerely happy.
Life has been messy for me the past few months. But I'm in the process of getting things in order so I'm ready to be the kick-ass blogger I should've been the past 7 months in my absence.
Some of the best things that've happened since april:
learning to love myself and not let people push me around anymore
my obsession with coffee has gone off the charts
I feel talented at drawing and will officially call myself an artist
I recently got a job as an Office Assistant and I'm making hella bank
I went to Orlando earlier this month and saw PARAMORE
Hey guys! I know, I've been awful at updating lately. :( I was doing really good with updating daily until this past week or so...I've just been SO busy with other stuff lately. I've been applying for jobs like cray cray and I have 2 interviews to go to this week so AH let's hope I don't screw it up.
One of the best things that have happened in my absence was 2 fridays ago, when I hungout with my friends to see them do a performance.
I wore my mint green collared cat shirt. :3
We spent most of the time before the performance in the bathroom. Getting hair & makeup done, taking pictures, & jammin' to some of our favorite tunes.
Their performance was amazing! They performed a scene from the Broadway musical "Wicked". My friend in the pink made the entire dress on her own. 100% handmade. It's amazing.
So that's just a brief overview of some of the things I've been up to lately. I'm going to try and make a Favorite Healthy Lunches post soon like I had promised.
I hope you are all enjoying the spring weather! x
Currently pulling on my heart strings: Today's Bombing in Boston
Hey guys! So I'm like a HUGE fan of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Like, you don't even know. I read the book last year and I was IN LOVE. I never even saw the film until yesterday tho ;-;
I LOVED the movie and I wanted to do a review of it!
So first of all, let's talk Logan Lerman. UNF. I think he was the perfect person to play Charlie for this film. He did a magnificent job capturing the personality of Charlie as the book describes him.
I wasn't very happy about some of the other character's, though. The actors who play Sam, Patrick and Mary Elizabeth looked nothing like I imagined them by reading the book. I was really disappointed about that. Now, don't get me wrong; I LOVE Sam in this movie. I just think she's much different than I imagined her.
Another negative comment I have about it in regards to staying true to the book is that I think they didn't emphasize Charlie's relationship with Mr. Anderson as much as it does in the book. I think they made a much bigger deal about Charlie's relationship with Mary Elizabeth than they should've.
One thing I loved about it was the set for the movie. I think that it was perfect! It was very realistic and detailed.
All in all, I love love loved this movie. I don't know if I'd like it as much if I didn't already love the book so much, cause I already had SO MANY FEELS about it before it even started. My favorite part was near the beginning when they were at a school dance and Sam and Patrick get all excited because the dance was "ACTUALLY PLAYING GOOD MUSIC!". I about DIED when Come On Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners started playing. Ugh, that song. Like, I can't even. <3
I hope you liked this review and I hope you liked the movie even more<3
How was all of y'all's Easter? Mine has been fantastic! I went to Anastasia Island Park in St. Augustine with my family and some friends. We had a cook-out lunch there. It was a gorgeous day out ♥
(I took some of these pictures with my real camera, and some with my iPod)
Me n' my sissy ♥ :3
The water was FREEEZING
I found a tumbleweed! :D
There was this neat sign with different types of birds on it :]
I'm obsessed with eating healthy, and just food in general. I was asked what kind of stuff I eat to stay healthy, so I'm making a post about it!
Favorite healthy breakfast ideas!
My first breakfast idea is OATMEAL! Yes. Oatmeal. I eat oatmeal for breakfast at least 6 days a week. It's so yummy and easy to make. My favorite ways to make it are:
1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, cinnamon, and berries
1/2 cup oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1 tsp cocoa powder, 1 tsp natural sugar, 1 TBS peanut butter (+ sometimes a banana)
When it comes to healthy, homemade is always the way to go! I love having homemade waffles and instead of covering them in syrup I cover them with fruit. Nomz :3
Can you tell that I love bananas yet? Fruit salad is a delicious and healthy idea for breakfast. I don't usually have only fruit though, cause that's not enough to keep me full for too long. I like having fruit with homemade plain yogurt or storebought plain greek yogurt. SO YUMMY.
SMOOTHIES! I love smoothies. They're very easy to make and they are so delicious and refreshing. I always make mine with 100% healthy ingredients, I don't like to add sugar or anything like that. My favorite smoothies to make are:
Frozen strawberries, water+vanilla protein powder, and a handful of spinach
Frozen banana, milk (+sometimes 1 TBS peanut butter or TBS mini chocolate chips)
Lastly, I like having fruit with almonds. Almonds with apples are SO GOOD!
There are so many other healthy breakfast options out there, I only listed a few of my favorites. So I hope you got some new ideas and I hope you will all try eating healthier!
I will eventually be making a favorite healthy food ideas post for lunch and dinner so stay tuned! x
Evenin', chaps! How has everyone's second day of spring been? Mine's been fantastic! I went to apply for a job at Cracker Barrel today, and I have an interview on monday! I really hope I get the job, I love that place.
I wore this adorable top. I posted my whole outfit on my Instagram!
Anyways, I just can't help but admire the newest addition to my bedroom decor.
Lanterns! <3 They are so pretty and they light up the whole room.
I have them framed along the side of my bed. I've been wanting some pretty lighting for my room for awhile, and these look great with the rest of my decorations.
They weren't expensive and they were easy to hang up. If anyone wants a to know how I hung them up/where I got the supplies, let me know in the comments!

What's your favorite part of your room? I wanna know! :3
Happy first day of spring! I've been so happy that spring and sumer are coming up! To celebrate the first day of spring my friends and I went clothes shopping and we found some wonderful things!
I got things from Forever 21, Body Central, and the thrift store!
So, first we went thrift shopping. Thrifting is one of my favorite things to do! The Salvation Army by my house was having a 50% off sale for ALL clothes, so obviously, I HAD to go.
The first thing I got was an ADORABLE black and white polkadot dress with red trim at the bottom. This saturday my friends and I are getting dressed up nice and we're going out so I wanted to buy something new and when I saw this, I almost died. It fit PERFECTLY, too! It's fate, really.
Then, I got this adorable black and white striped button-down top. The tag says H&M, but I got it for 2 bucks.
These are the other 2 tops I got! I also got an adorable pair of shoes that fit me perfectly, I love them!
You know how at every thrift store you go to, there are always a plethora of butt-ugly floor length dresses? Well, I found some with sweet floral patterns and bought them because I want to try doing some major alterations on them. I can't wait to see the final product! I'll deffo be blogging it when they're finished.
After we were done thrifting, we went to the mall. I wanted to find some pearls to wear with my new dress and I found a perfect strand at Body Central!
Ok, for my birthday, my best friend got me a Forever 21 gift card(best friend ever? I think so). So, TAKE A LOOK AT THIS MINT-COLORED BEAUTY I BOUGHT.
Bask in its amazing perfection. It's covered in cats. Heck yes.
Oh, and last but not least, here is my last thrift-store find of the day. A t-shirt, WITH CATS. Oh yes. :3
I can't wait to get working on the dresses I bought! I hope you lovelies had as wonderful a first day of spring as I have had.
First thing I did was I cut around the collar so that it would be an off-the-shoulder top.
Next, I put the shirt on and marked where I want the bottom of the shirt to be cut. I marked on both of the side seams.
Then, I cut along the line on the BACK of the shirt only.
Next I measured from the front how many inches wide the shirt is from each side seam.
After I measured, I marked where the middle was and marked a couple inches down on each side. This is where I will be cutting for the tie.
Then, I cut along the shirt like I did on the back, until I got to where I marked. I went down diagonally from the mark and did the same on the other side.
Lastly, I cut up the middle of the triangle and tied it off.
And here is is the finished product! I ended up going back and cutting it a couple inches shorter than I originally did and turning it into a crop top so that the tie would be longer. I love it!
I hope this DIY was helpful and I hope you enjoy your new, cute shirt!
Hello, world! Nice to meet you. :]
So I'm kind of obsessed with biking. I love biking and exploring new places. So last friday I went biking to this gorgeous neighborhood by the lake and had a picnic there! It was lovely! So here's a short video I made:
I hope you enjoy my blog and I hope to have some interesting stuff posted soon, so stay tuned!
